Most people have tried the “bread” version of French Toast. However, this “French Toast Egg Puff” is an amazing alternative, you’ll soon switch! The basic recipe is just 3 ingredients and the result is a thick, puffy, sweet, and very similar in taste to “real” french toast!
Ingredients:
2 Eggs
2 Oz. cream cheese
Sugar free syrup and/or 1 teaspoon of artificial sugar (I use Stevia)
Directions
Step 1: Soften cream cheese in a microwave for about 20 seconds, then add two eggs and a tablespoon of sugar free syrup (and also a packet or teaspoon of artificial sugar if you’d like). Stir until blended, but it will be lumpy at this point with chunks of cream cheese
Step 2: Return to microwave for 45 seconds then stir again. You’ll notice that the egg has started to harden, but just break it up and stir until blended and creamy.
Step 3: Heat in the microwave for about 2 minutes. If still soft in the middle, flip over with a spatula and return to microwave for another 20 seconds or so. The end result should look something like this, maybe a bit different if you use a bigger bowl.
Step 4: Flip the egg puff out of the bowl onto a plate and top with sugar free syrup.
