These Easy Vegetarian Recipes Are a Great Way to Reap the Health Benefits of a Vegetarian Diet!

Maybe you have noticed that more and more people are becoming vegetarian, not to mention that everyone has become conscious of eating organic from time to time. Vegetarian Recipes for Beginners

Weather you like to cook or not, these quick vegetarian dinner recipes should make meal planning easier for you. If you are unsure about eating a plant-based diet but would like to try out some recipes first, these easy vegetarian recipes are for you!

Cauliflower Pizza

This easy vegetarian recipe can be catered to your liking, in regards to toppings and sauce.  The best part about it is that you can make it extra easy by buying the crust already made. Here we will give you a simple example of how to make a delicious cauliflower pizza.

  • Cauliflower Pizza Crust: can be found in the frozen crust section of the supermarket (has been found at Whole Foods and Trader Joes)
    • We recommend that you pop the crust in the over first for a bit to make sure that it’s nice and crunchy to eat, don’t forget to rub some olive oil on it first.
  • Tomato Sauce: you can use any sort of pasta sauce or pizza sauce to be the base of your pizza (hint: try Arribiatta if you like a bit of a kick to the sauce)
  • Cheese: Mozzarella, Feta, Goat… Add what ever sort of cheese that you like
  • Cut up and add other toppings such as: tomato, onion, fresh basil

Follow the baking instructions on the box to get the time right for the crust. Once you add the toppings you can bake the pizza anywhere from 5- 15 minutes depending on how done you want your vegetables/crust.

BBQ Tofu

This is one of our favorite vegetarian recipes for beginners. It’s a simple way to start eating tofu and practice cooking it. It’s easy to make and doesn’t require many ingredients.

  • 1 package of firm tofu
  • ½ cup BBQ Sauce of your choice (or buffalo)
    • Heat a pan over medium heat with some olive oil
    • Take the tofu out of the package, pour out the liquid and pat it dry.
    • Place dry tofu on a cutting board and cut it into 1 inch squares
    • Once your pan is hot, add the tofu and salt it a bit
    • Allow the tofu to cook, rotating it gently to ensure that all sides are cooked. Don’t turn it too much because the tofu may break
    • Once tofu is browned on each side you may add the bbq sauce
    • Make sure all the tofu is covered, let it cook a bit more and then plate it!

This recipe is served great with your vegetable of choice or over rice.
