Clinical Definition
Quadrantanopia is a partial defect in the visual field. It involves blindness or decreased vision in a quarter section of the visual field. It may occur unilaterally or bilaterally. Quadrantanopia is often due to a stroke, head trauma or a lesion on the occipital lobe.

Quadrantanopia is the loss of vision in one quarter of the visual field. It often occurs in both eyes due to damage to the visual pathways in the brain. Quadrantanopia produces visual field problems that are often the result of damage due to a stroke or other types of brain injury.
